Graduated acting for drama theatre at the Higher Institute of Theatre Arts in 1986 in the class of Prof. Dimitrina Gyurova. Among his first theatrical roles on the professional stage are: Puck in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by William Shakespeare, Kolesov in "Farewell in June" by Alexander Vampilov, Brindsley Miller in "Black Comedy" by Peter Shaffer, Anto in "Crazy Tribe" by Slave Makedonski, Sganarelle in "Don Juan" by Jean-Baptiste Molière, the Bridegroom in "The Wedding" by Bertolt Brecht, Gary in "Noises Off" by Michael Frayn, Ru in "I Can Hardly Wait to Kill You" by Xavier Durringer.
In 1992, he was invited to join the troupe of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, where some of his significant roles include Buhala in "Chichovtsi" by Ivan Vazov, Solanio/Leonardo/Tubal/Balthazar/Stefano in "The Merchant of Venice", and Lennox in "Macbeth" by William Shakespeare. Other notable roles include Wayne Hudson in "Popcorn" by Ben Elton, the Electrician in "Lari Tompson" by Dusan Kovacevic, Officer in "Macbett" by Eugene Ionesco, characters in "The Great Combinator" based on Ilf and Petrov, Officer/Inn Visitor/Actor in "Don Quixote" by Miguel de Cervantes, Skeptical Gentleman in "Pygmalion" by Bernard Shaw, Rendeto/Lion in "A Midsummer Night's Dream," Evangelist and Wise Man in "As You Like It or Twelfth Night", and the Burgundian Prince in "King Lear" by Shakespeare. He also played Doctor in "To Marry a Village Woman" by William Wycherley, Dr. Gary in "Ah, This Jazz!" Fips in "The Ideal Husband" by Oscar Wilde, Jacques Murye in "Condemned Souls" based on Dimitar Dimov, Zhevakin in "Marriage" by Nikolai Gogol, The Оrderly Man in "The Peach Thief" based on Emilian Stanev, Tihol in "Masters" by Racho Stoyanov, Dr. Pingitzer in "The Tiger" by William Saroyan, Haralampi Petrinski in "The Culprit" by Dimitar Dimov, Mr. D'Eolashom in "Meeting in Sanlis" by Jean Anouilh.
