Sofia Bobtcheva

Graduated from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts "Kr. Sarafov" (NATFA) in 2008 in the class of Prof. Stefan Danailov. She made her first steps on a professional stage at the Drama Theatre in Lovech with the roles of Vivie Warren in "Mrs Warren's Profession" by Bernard Shaw, Mariana in "The Whims of Mariana" by Alfred de Musset, Eva in "A Women Alone" by Dario Fo, Louise in "Big Money" by Alan Ayckbourn. She has performed in the Theatres in Plovdiv and Pazardzhik, in the Aleko Konstantinov State Satirical Theatre.

She became a part of the trope of Ivan Vazov National Theatre, where some of her famous roles are: Francis in "Five Women Wearing the Same Dress" by Alan Ball, Virginie in "Monsieur Amilcar" by Yves Jamiaque, Rosalind in "Lunatics" by Ken Ludwig, the Sugar in the "Blue Bird" by Maurice Maeterlinck, Anne Page in "The Merry Wives of Windsor" by William Shakespeare, Sara in the "Isaac's Torah" by Angel Wagenstein, Victoria in "Jeanna" by Jaroslava Pulinovich, Anastasia in "Gulls drink Tea" by Alexander Mardan, Suzie in "The Evil Prince" by Georgi Tenev, Zina in "A Charming Summer with its Inevitable Troubles" after Maxim Gorky, Nurse in "The Delhi Dance" by Ivan Viripaev. 

Icarus Award 2018 for supporting actress for the roles of Zina in "A Charming Summer with its Inevitable Troubles" and Nurse in "Delhi Dance".

Nominated for the Zlaten Kukerikon Award 2019 in the category Comedy female role for Olga Knipper in "Yasna Polyana" by Miro Gavran on the stage of 199 Theatre.
