Graduated from The National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts "Kr. Sarafov" (NATFA) in 2017 in the class of Prof. Ivaylo Hristov. In the following years, he played in performances of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, and Theatre-Laboratory Sfumato, and became part of the troupe of the Ivan Radoev Drama and Puppet Theatre in Pleven.
He has been nominated for the ASKEER Award 2019 in the category "Rising Star" for the role of Gavryushka in the performance "Card Players", dir. Denis Azarov.
During this season, on the stage of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, you can watch Alexander Kanev in the following performances: "The Merchant of Venice", "The Petrovs in and Around the Flu" and "Antichrist, chapters: VIII, X, XI".
