Nikolay Urumov

He graduated National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts "Krastio Sarafov"  in 1990 in the class of Prof. Nikolay Lyutskanov. Specializes "The Directing for a Dracmatic Theater" in the class of Prof. Zdravko Mitkov. He has performed at Drama Theater “Sofia”, Theater 199, Drama Theater “Aleko Konstantinov” where his most important roles were: Malvolio in "Twelfth Night" by William Shakespeare, Franck in "The Memory of Water" by Sheila Stevenson, Bai Ganyo in "Bai Ganyo" by Aleko Konstantinov and Georgi Danailov, Arpagon  in "The Miser" by Jean-Baptiste Molière Franck in "The Memory of Water" by Sheila Stevenson, Bai Gan, Hein in "Life in Cartons" by Ivan Kulekov. In 1999, he joined the troupe of “Ivan Vazov” National Theatre where among his most important roles are: Froughin in "The process against the Bogomils" by Stefan Tsanev, Greatin in "January" by Yordan Radichkov, Rumin in “Useless Man” by Maxim Gorky. As a director he puts performances on the scenes of Theatres in Gabrovo City, Stara Zagora City, Pleven City, Ruse City and Satirical Theatre "Aleko Konstantinov" in Sofia.

Aword ASKEER’2000 for supporting male role for the role of Karakalpakov in "Duel" by Ivan Vazov. ASKEER`2009 for a leading male role for Clauve in "Endgame" by Samuel Beckett. Aword ICAR`2004 for a major male role for Margarides in "The Misunderstood Civilization" by Dobri Voynikov.

First prize for "Best main male role" of the Festivals in Blagoevgrad (2002), Shumen (2002) and (2011), Gabrovo (2006) and (2017), Vratsa (2014) and Plovdiv (2018). More than 12 prestigious awards from international festivals of the Monodrama for his performance in the Monodrama "Life in Cartons" by Ivan Kulekov in Drama Theatre "Racho Stoyanov" Gabrovo.
